National Competitiveness Agenda

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development – Regulatory Reform Support Program for National Development (USAID-RESPOND), through the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA), will design and conduct a workshop in laying down a 12-point National Competitiveness Action Agenda to achieve the following objectives:

  • Promote public-private cooperation and collaboration to jointly address challenges in cultivating a business-enabling environment, and improving economic competitiveness;
  • Coordinate a unified channel to advocate for policy reform and competitiveness initiatives on behalf of regional stakeholders;
  • Cultivate buy-in from key participants and enlist their expertise in advocating for the national and regional competitiveness agenda;
  • Lay the foundation for a more proactive monitoring mechanism that will address the gaps highlighted by globally accepted competitiveness surveys.
